The Canterbury Jeep Club was set up by a group of Jeep
enthusiasts who wanted to offer a chance for other Jeep owners
to get out and experience the capabilities of their vehicles in
a safe and controlled environment.
We encourage all Jeep owners to contact us and take part in the
complete experience of owning an icon.
Our Mission Statement:
- Tread Lightly - leaving a good impression.
- "We did not inherit the earth from our parents, we are
borrowing it from our children."
- Our goal is to balance the needs of people who enjoy
outdoor recreation with the needs of the environment.
- We achieve this by raising outdoor enthusiasts level of
consciousness. To increase awareness of ways to enjoy the
great outdoors while minimising impacts.
The club runs about two off-road trips per month. To become a
full member, you must own a jeep, but we accept non-jeep owners
as associate members.
Trips are graded from 1 (easy with no scratches) through to 5
(extreme), with most trips in the 2 to 3 range. Driver training
days are held every 6 months. New Jeep owners are always
welcome.
